Wal-Mart Couponing

A few days ago I went to Wal-Mart. This wasn't a planned trip but I decided to use up some coupons that will expire soon. I had a Wal-Mart Gift Card that paid for what I owed. Here's a few things I picked up.

I lost the receipt for this trip but I know I paid $11.00 and some change using my gift card. The razors alone without coupons are worth more then that. I believe if I remembered all the prices correctly this was between $33.00 -$35.00 before coupons. NOT PICTURED-3 Candy Bars that my boyfriend ate before I took the picture.

Gillette Venus & Olay Razor Review

I have been able to try the Gillette Venus & Olay Razor. I have always loved Gillette razors and the brand, so I was excited to see these two amazing brands come together! This razor has 5 blades to get a nice close shave and Olay moisture bars to help hydrate your skin.

This Razor Claims To:
-help lock-in moisture to your skin for less dryness
-you do not need to use shaving cream with this razor
-has good control from the soft grip handle
-Adjusts to a women's curves even on those tricky areas like knees and ankles

*First Impressions*
The packaging was a bit big and bulky. It does include a nice razor holder to stick in your shower. I thought that was great! I like the nice sparkly yellow color on the packaging. The razor handle itself I found to be pretty and the color yellow is an instant mood lifter! The Olay moisture bars smelled really good! I wanted to test it out right away!

*My Thoughts After Testing this out*
-Pros-
The Olay moisture bars are great! You really do not need a shave cream or gel when using this. The 5 blades gave me an extremely close shave leaving my skin soft, smooth, and silky. I also noticed this took me way less time then my usual routine. This razor was simple and easy to use. It also does provide great control and I had no nicks or cuts. This has turned into one of my favorite razors! I'm loving this and will buy this in the near future!
-Cons-
The moisture bars are gone pretty fast. After one good shave you will notice they have already disappeared quite fast. I got about 2-3 good uses out of it. The third use the bar was barely there anymore. The blades were still sharp so I did use it a few more times with shaving gel. Since the moisture bars do not last long, you will find yourself buying plenty of re-fills if you fall in love with this razor. This could become a bit pricey for some.
Notice the "LOVE IT OR 2X MONEY BACK"  GUARANTEE
You have nothing to lose if you end up unsatisfied with it!

Overall I think this razor is great! I'm completely loving it right now!

Wal-Mart and TOPS Couponing Trip.

I stopped by Wal-Mart and TOPS last night with a friend. Here's what I got!
I paid about $0.60 cents for all of this! Woo-Hoo! I'm happy with this trip since it wasn't planned. We just went to the store out of boredom. We each got some good stuff though!

This wasn't from last night, but it was from this week. When I went grocery shopping I saw this and had a coupon for it! I paid $0.24 cents for a box of hair dye! I also picked up 5 laundry detergents at $1.99 a piece. So I only paid $10.00 bucks for those! (Not Pictured. Sorry I forgot to take that one) I think I have said this before that when laundry soap is $1.99 where I live I always grab a few. That's a good price for me since I normally do not find them any cheaper then that!

Getting Fit Update.

Okay so a few of my blogger friends and I have teamed up to lose weight, get fit, and reach healthy goals. Here's an update of my progress. This is month one and I started month 2 not too long ago. This has been very difficult for me. Mostly because I am a serious binge eater. I'll admit it. I have been trying very hard though to get on a healthy track. Now I know I'm not going to never eat bad foods for the rest of my life. I did allow myself some treats in month one, and I plan on allowing myself more throughout this journey. Let's be realistic here, if I cut out everything, I would have gave up by now. My plan is basically to eat whatever I want just smaller portions and trying to create healthier versions for myself. I have also tried to add veggies to my meals to bulk up the meal without adding a ton of calories, but adding nutrients. Okay so here are some pictures and after that I will post my results and new goals at the bottom!

                                                   *Chicken Bacon Ranch Salad*
*Chicken in a simple sauce with rice and carrots*
                                                     *Chicken and veggie stir fry*
                                                                 *Pizza*
*All the food above looks high in calories and fat, but these are actually healthier versions. Also instead of store bought sauces loaded with sodium I have been making my own!

HAHA! My boyfriend took this picture of me without me being aware of it...This would be me attempting to jog...very slowly! I was trying though! I'm not a runner, but it was beautiful out that day!
SO DID I REACH ANY OF MY GOALS!?
                                                          Last Months Goals!

                                                  My Goals for month 1-Febuary
                                                               -Lose 3 lbs
                                                   -Eat normal sized portions
-Re-place most snacks with healthy snacks
-work out 3-4 times a week
I am PROUD to say that I reach every goal except the last one! I did not work out that much. Also on weigh in day I LOST 12 POUNDS! WOW! I was SHOCKED! : ) I gave myself a big pat on the back!
                                                        * March Month 2 Goals*
-Lose 1 pound. Seems like nothing, but I have to maintain what I have lost already.
-Continue to eat better snacks and meals
-Work out 3 times a week
*Now 2 girls did not reach their goals. We will not be sending out any goodies this month. We have all tried very hard and will continue to support each other along the way.
